Caratteristiche tecniche

The eclectic residential building located at Rua Visconde do Rio Branco, 861 in São Paulo, Brazil, was designed by the Italian architect Augusto Franzolin in 1926 for his client, Senborita Yvone Henique de Oliveira. This one-storey structure exemplifies a unique blend of architectural styles characteristic of its time, while still maintaining a simple design that not as the surrounding buildings crafted by the same architect, that is featured by many eclectic elements and details. Although the original blueprint indicated direct street access, the completed building is accessed from its side, showcasing a deviation from its intended design. The building stands isolated with margins on all sides and features a pitched roof, adding to its distinctive silhouette. It includes a welcoming porch but lacks a balcony, and it is complemented by a backyard that enhances its residential appeal. Despite the modifications made during construction, the building continues to serve its original purpose as a residence, reflecting both the historical context of its creation and the evolving nature of urban architecture in São Paulo.
